Miguel Masso

Murdered Alan Blueford, military verteran, lives in Los Banos

Misconduct preceding OPD employment: “According to a 2007 civil rights lawsuit, Masso and three other officers were accused of beating, macing, and tasering Rafael Santiago in a holding cell at the 52nd Precinct station house in the Central Bronx. According to the lawsuit and NYPD Internal Affairs documents, four cops, including Masso, entered his cell around 4:30 a.m. on March 15, 2007 while Santiago was sleeping. When Santiago refused their orders to leave his cell to be transported to Bronx Central Booking, he was pulled out of his cell and slammed against the floor. Santiago was tased three times, maced, and kicked repeatedly in the head and body. Medical records confirm Santiago sustained a black eye and six serious burns on his back from the electronic shocks. . . New York City settled with Santiago for $54,000 on March 9, 2010. In 2010, the most recent year for which records are available, Masso’s total employee compensation was $149,130.

I think before you decide to try and ruin this cops reputation you should get all the facts. Why don’t you guys make the same issue with all the other shootings that are going on in Oakland, instead of the ones that you can get money from.

To Marcus….Exactly “You should get all the facts!!!!”

That young man was my nephew and you obviously don’t know the facts of this case.

      We have to START somewhere!!!!!

Maybe then and only then, can “all the other shootings that are going on in Oakland” be taken seriously………..

P.S. My only sibling (a brother-23) was also killed by senseless gunfire on oakland streets…

what avotcja said . marcus, maybe you don’t know that police officers in california have more rights than the rest of us, including the right to keep secrets like the one published here. (or maybe you’re a cop and you do know)

until the day when officers’ history becomes a matter of public record, we have a right to be suspicious of every one of ’em.

not only is masso already guilty of this murder (having lied about what happened, having approached these kids in the dark without identifying themselves as police, with guns drawn … having shot an unarmed teen while said teen was already on the ground), every cop and other city ‘official who helped cover up the truth is also guilty of murder after the fact. covering up a murder is criminal. coward jordan actively participated in this cover up, as did deanna santana, who has access to all info.

To Avotcja… Your right about one thing your have to start somewhere, why don’t you look in the mirror and start there!! Ask yourself this why did your nephew run, and why did he have a gun in the first place. If he wasn’t up to something, or guilty he shouldv’e just stayed put, innocent people don’t run from the cops regardless of where they are. This cop is a military veteran that has risked his life for our country, and your family is trying to ruin his reputation, for what a pay out. Do what is right for your nephew, make his death one that doesn’t turn into a race issue, or a way to get a huge pay out from the city, but one that teaches all young men/women that their actions have consequences. And maybe then the community will join together and work with the police department instead of against them. Don’t allow these young men and women hide be hide their race, or use that as an excuse for there actions.

Wiseoldsnail…. Were you there that night, do you know if the cops truly had there guns drawn, or is this a fact that was fabricated by the family to help their case. Do you have all the facts on the case listed above, or you just jumping to conclusions yourself? If this kid wouldv’e gotten shot by someone else that night and not a cop, would this still be an issue, i don’t think so. This is all about a huge pay out. This city will continue to hide behind their race, and never own up to their own actions.
